Treasurer's
Report
Perhaps the most
important news to report is (as you can see) we
have once again ended the year with a positive
balance. With our financial reserve we are still
your healthy Credit Union.
....There
have been a few changes in 2007. Sadly, it became
necessary to close the Elma branch of our Credit
Union effective 12/31/07.
....The
good news is that with banking on line, direct
deposit, bill payer, etc., and with the new
service, Shared Branching, we have been able to
keep the majority of those members from the East
County.
....Another
new process this year is moving all accounts
inactive more than 12 months to be placed in a
dormant account file. This allows us to alleviate
all the time and expense of maintaining that
account (sending statements, etc.).
....We
want to thank the great staff we have that is
helping to provide the good service we have come to
expect and continue to receive.
....We
also appreciate the membership which at this time
remains reasonably steady. As always we need new
members, new loans and there are several ideas
being pursued toward this end. With all of this in
mind, we also ask your help and hope you will
spread the word inviting others to join us as we
are now an open membership.
