IMPORTANT INFORMATION
ABOUT PRIVACY & CONFIDENTIALITY
NEWRIZONS Federal Credit
Union (NFCU) is committed to protecting members'
privacy. It is the policy of the credit union to
hold member information in confidence, subject to
applicable legal requirements and standards. NFCU
does not sell member information to non-affiliated
third parties.
ACCURACY OF
INFORMATION
NFCU will take reasonable precautions to
protect the accuracy and reliability of the
members' nonpublic personal information. The member
provides this information to the credit union for
the purpose of obtaining a financial product or
service. The member is responsible for record
updating from time to time in order to assure its
accuracy. The credit union will respond to member
requests to update information on accounts as
quickly as possible.
INTERNAL PROCEDURES
As a part of NFCU commitment to protect the
confidentiality of member account information,
credit union employees are informed of the
responsibility to protect confidential member
information and are bound by this Privacy and
Confidentiality Policy.
Staff may access member
account information only when necessary for
business reasons. NFCU has also established
appropriate security standards to protect against
unauthorized access to member
information.
WHEN INFORMATION MAY BE
SHARED
NFCU only shares information for legitimate
business reasons, with the ultimate goal of
bringing the member greater convenience and more
choices. The credit union shares member information
with its affiliates and certain vendors with whom
it has a contractual relationship to provide
specific products and services such as insurance
services, credit cards and account statements.
These are frequently requested services that the
credit union would not otherwise be able to
provide. These vendors are prohibited from using
member information for any purpose other than that
for which they have been contracted.
Personal financial
information such as account balance or loan
information may be shared under the following
circumstances:
- When such disclosure
is in compliance with the law, government
agencies or court orders,
- When a third party is
verifying the existence or condition of an
account in accordance with applicable
law,
- When necessary to
complete a transaction,
- To protect secured
assets or the assets of NFCU,
- When written
permission is given,
- To share NFCU member's
experience with consumer reporting agencies,
such as credit bureaus.
NON-DISCLOSURE OF
INFORMATION TO AFFILIATES
As a member of NEWRIZONS FCU, be assured that
the confidentiality of account information is the
rule, not the exception. Although information
collected in conjunction with a member's account
remains the property of NEWRIZONS FCU, members may
choose to be excluded from receiving certain
marketing materials.
Members may choose to "opt
out" of receiving offers of goods or services by
direct mail, e-mail or telemarketing.
If a member desires to
"opt out" of receiving offers of goods or services
by direct mail, e-mail or telemarketing, please
request in writing to:
NEWRIZONS
Federal Credit Union

Request must include
account numbers, and should be signed. One account
owner's request will be considered binding for the
purposes of opting out, or opting back into
NEWRIZONS FCU affiliate programs.
Opting out of NFCU
affiliate programs will not eliminate information
or solicitations from outside sources. However,
reducing the amount may be attained by contacting
the Direct Marketing Association and to have your
name added to the Association's Mail Preference
Service list of consumers who do not wish to be
contacted by mail or via telephone for marketing
purposes.
A written request to "opt
out" must include name, address, and telephone
number in writing. Also provide any variations, as
well as the names of other persons who may be
living at the address.

reputable companies to assist in marketing efforts.
Upon request, the credit union will provide the
source of this information to interested
parties.
PRIVACY ON THE
INTERNET
NFCU uses firewalls that are designed to
protect accounts from unauthorized access from
outside the credit union. The credit union uses a
cryptographic (digital certificate) key to secure
account information sent between NFCU server, home
banking server and member browser. This
communication key encrypts the data sent and
decrypts it when it is received.
NFCU's Web Site contains
links to other sites. The credit union is not
responsible for the privacy practices or the
content of such Web Sites.
PROTECTING CHILDREN'S
INFORMATION AND PRIVACY
The online financial services offered through
the credit union's website are not designed for or
directed toward children under age 13. NFCU does
not knowingly solicit or collect data from
children, and does not knowingly market to children
online without express parental consent or
notification. If online information is received
from any child the credit union will only use the
information to respond directly to the child's
request. It is recognized that protecting
children's identities and online privacy is
important and that responsibility rests both with
the credit union and with parents. If it is
believed a child has provided personally
identifiable information, please contact the credit
union at (360) 533-4760 or email
creditunion@lambgh.com to review and delete such
information.

POLICY
NFCU is proud of its commitment to member
confidentiality, and will make this policy
available to any consumer requesting it. This
policy will be available on the NFCU's Internet
Home Page.

This policy does not address every possible
