Dear Members,
..Two
thousand seven has had its challenges, as every
year does. Working to turn challenges into
opportunities and moving into the future with new
direction is the constant topic at board
meetings.
...Future
credit union growth depends on our ability to let
everyone in the community know where we are and all
about our uniqueness.

You can
help-tell your friends and family. Tell them
where they can get great savings rates, low rate
loans, that personal service by friendly staff,
that know your name and are willing to go that
extra mile.
...Over
the past few months, there have been several events
that put a spotlight on the economy and cause
concern for all of us. We are seeing news of high
commodity prices, high food and gas prices, a weak
dollar, lower interest rates from the Fed, and a
number of financial institutions hit hard by the
fallout from the sub-prime mortgage market. With
all this going on, you may be wondering how these
events will impact NEWRIZONS. First and foremost,
the credit union has been and continues to be
financially sound. The combination of our
conservative investment policy and responsible
lending guidelines allow us to remain safe, solid
and well capitalized. The credit union is NOT
experiencing a liquidity crunch and we have money
to lend to our members. However, we do realize that
the slowing economy may have a negative impact on
some of our members. As in the past, NEWRIZONS is
prepared to help our members make it through rough
economic times.
Did you
notice, we spruced up the building with new paint
and gutters?
...As
always, we need and value your opinions and input
to assist the board and management in setting the
future direction of the credit union. You can reach
